Agency fees compared with ours

50%

of a tutor’s first month, taken by a typical agency. The tutor absorbs it, then prices it back into your rate.

  • A coordinator calls you back when they can
  • You see the tutors they choose to show
  • Quality is a testimonial on their website

Scholars’ Concierge

25%

of the first month’s tuition, once, for private tuition. The tutor pays it, not you, and from month two you pay the tutor directly.

The Scholars’ Teaching Record

The evidence behind each tutor.

Every tutor comes with a Teaching Record. It reads in plain language: verified background, the subjects they are strong in, reliability, and the themes that recur in family feedback.

It is built from evidence, not opinion. A family that renews for a sixth month says more than any five-star tap. A tutor who is steadily good shows a fuller record than one who is occasionally brilliant.

It is evidence, not a score or a rank. No tutor can buy it, inflate it, or write their own. When there is not yet enough to show, we say so plainly.

  1. Established evidence

A full record across many families and months.

    State 1 of 3
  2. Developing evidence

A growing record, with clear themes already.

    State 2 of 3
  3. New

Verified and ready. The record is still being written.

Small-Group Tuition

Two to five classmates, one excellent tutor, and everyone comes out ahead.

Tell us you are open to a small group and we assemble one from families already asking for the same subject, at the same level, with schedules that overlap. Online for now. We keep 15% of the collected fees, only while the group runs.

For tutors

Stop applying. Start teaching.

You never apply. When a family fits, we bring them to you. Students who already match your subjects, your rates, and your free hours arrive as a single message. One tap says yes, and your Teaching Record does the rest.

Questions, answered plainly

Before you ask

Why can’t I see tutors’ names at first?

Anonymity keeps the comparison honest in both directions. You judge the Teaching Record, the fit, and the rate, without name-dropping or profile photos doing the work. Names are exchanged the moment you and the tutor both say yes.

What exactly does the 25% cover?

Finding and vetting tutors, presenting the shortlist, the introduction, and handling the first month’s payment. The tutor pays it, once, on the first month of a private engagement. From month two you pay your tutor directly and we take nothing.

How do small groups get priced?

Each family pays one flat per-seat hourly rate, the same whether the group has two students or five, around 40% less than a private lesson at that level. Because several seats add up, the tutor earns more per hour as the group fills. We keep 15% of the collected fees while the group runs, and in return we keep the seats filled.

What stops the Teaching Record being gamed?

The strongest signals are things no one can type into a form. Whether families renew, how long they stay, and how a tutor handles a change of schedule. Feedback counts too, but each family gets one voice per period, and volume alone changes nothing. There is no score to inflate.

What happens to my family’s data?

We collect what matching needs and nothing else. Until you and the tutor both accept and we approve the introduction, neither side sees the other’s name. Tutors are matched on subject, level, schedule, and area, never a surname, a home address, or a phone number. You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, at any time under Singapore’s PDPA.

Where do I talk to the Concierge?

On Telegram, with WhatsApp coming soon, all on the same phone number and the same account. Your web dashboard holds your engagements, options, and receipts, and the Concierge can bring any of that into chat whenever you ask.
