Terms of Service
Plain terms for an introduction service. No legalese, no surprises.
The service
Scholars’ Concierge introduces families to independent tutors, and introduces tutors to families and small groups. We do the matching, the vetting and the introduction. What happens in the lessons themselves is between you and your tutor.
Fees
Private engagements, 25% of the tutor’s first month, paid once. Small groups, 15% of collected fees, for as long as the group runs. In both cases the fee is the tutor’s to pay, deducted from what they earn, never billed to the family.
Payments
Payments are handled through HitPay. Families pay their tutor, or a small group’s fees, through the platform, and tutors receive their share on the agreed schedule. We don’t handle cash, and we don’t ask you to pay a tutor directly for anything we introduced.
Conduct
Exchanging contact details before an introduction is approved is not permitted. Doing so circumvents the service and forfeits any protection this agreement provides. Names and numbers remain withheld until both sides accept the same terms and we give final approval.
Liability
We introduce, we don’t teach. The tutoring engagement, once confirmed, is between the family and the tutor, and its conduct and outcomes are theirs. We’re liable for the introduction and the fee we collect on it, nothing further.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. We won’t backdate a change to alter a fee you’ve already agreed to. Continuing to use Scholars’ Concierge after an update means you accept the terms as they then read.
